According to a Gallup poll:
-1 in 7 American adults cannot locate the United States on a world map
-25% of a sample of Dallas high school students did not know that Mexico was the country bordering the US to the south.
'Tis a frightening thing to consider ignorance.
Sample is everything though...ignorance is always bad I suppose, but if its not a representative sample the statistics are invalid to quote out of context...1 in 7 American adults...but where did they conduct the survey? How? Which American adults? etc.
